Canada and WW1
The War had a huge cost for Canada, not just monetarily but also in terms of resources and lives lost. Canada gained international acclaim for its' successess on the battlefield, especially at Vimy Ridge. Our nation also took steps towards independence from Britain by having a seperate seat at the Paris Peace Conference, signing the Treaty of Versailles, and a place in the newly created League of Nations.
